総勢10名で「色」が含まれる表現を使ってディスカッションしました。
英語には「色」が含まれる慣用句が多く、よく使われるそうですが、日本人には見当もつかない様な意味のものもありました。Out of the blue = suddenly など、意味自体はシンプルなものが多いので、日常的にどんどん使ってみたいです。また、色を使った表現が他にどんなものがあるか、探して使ってみましょう。
We discussed using expressions of colours: phrases and idioms using colours.
These expressions are common for native speakers but it's almost first time to hear them for us. Most of them have simple meanings such 'Out of the blue' as 'suddenly', so we can try to use them a lot!
And look for more of these colour expressions around you and use them!
