グラスゴー大学日本同窓会が3年4か月ぶりに対面での会合を開催しました。/The Japan Alumni Association of the University of Glasgow Japan Alumni Association held an in person event for the first time in 3 years and 4 months

※当協会会員でグラスゴー大学の日本同窓会代表を務められている清水様より活動報告を頂きましたのでご紹介いたします。

2023年3月26日、グラスゴー大学日本同窓会は対面での同窓会会合を六本木の国際文化会館で、3年4か月ぶりに開催しました。

新型コロナウイルス感染症対策のため2019年11月以降同窓会の集まりはオンラインに限定して開催してまいりましたが、政府による規制緩和の動きを受けて、六本木の国際文化会館でお花見を兼ねた昼食ビュッフェレセプションを開催いたしました。

今回はコロナ禍が落ち着きを見せ始めて後初めての対面での試みなので、ゲストもお招きすることなく、内輪のインフォーマルな集まりとなりました。あいにくの雨天でしたが、桜は満開で、名園として名高い国際文化会館の庭園も雨に濡れてみずみずしく、参加者一同久しぶりの再会で楽しい懇談のひとときを持つことができました。

The Japan Alumni Association of the University of Glasgow Japan Alumni Association held an in person event for the first time in 3 years and 4 months
On March 26, 2023, the Japan Alumni Association of the University of Glasgow held an in-person alumni event at the International House of Japan in Roppongi for the first time in 3 years and 4 months. 

Since November 2019, alumni events have only been held online in the epidemic of COVID-19. This time, in response to the government's deregulation movement, the Association held a lunch buffet reception that also served as a cherry blossom viewing ("OHANAMI") at the International House of Japan.

As this was the first trial of in-person gathering since the COVID-19 began be more under control, it was an informal event without inviting guests.
In spite of heavy rain, the famous garden looked so beautiful with cherry blossoms in full bloom. The participants shared a great time together in the face to face interaction after a long interval.
